Information for childcare facilities – group members
NB: this information is important for you.
This letter has been sent to you because one or more children or employees in your child's group at the childcare facility have COVID-19.
What does this mean for your child?
Your child may be infected with COVID-19. As long as your child has not tested positive and does not exhibit any symptoms associated with COVID-19, your child may continue to go to childcare. The GGD (Municipal Public Health Services) may issue modified advice in certain situations.
However, it is crucial that your child avoids any contact with vulnerable people up to and including the 10th day after their most recent contact with someone infected with COVID-19. Please note: in the case of a positive test result, your child must always stay at home.
Please monitor your child’s health closely for the next 10 days. If your child develops symptoms associated with COVID-19, such as:
- cold-like symptoms (nasal congestion, a runny nose, sneezing, a sore throat)
- tightness of the chest or shortness of breath
- a temperature or fever
- sudden loss of smell and/or taste
then your child should take a self-test immediately. If the symptoms persist or get worse, your child should take another self-test the following day to be sure. If the result of the self-test is negative, your child is allowed to go to school.
If you cannot do a self-test on your child, have your child tested at the GGD. You can make an appointment for a test at the Municipal Public Health Services (GGD) by calling 0800-2035 or at . Your child must stay home and should not have any contact with anyone outside your household until you have received the test result.
